Skin Care Must Haves

I am now aware of the fact that I cannot sleep in my makeup or skip my 6 month skin check with my dermatologist. I have a history of Basal Cell Carcinoma and have had Mohs surgery three times. Thankfully I have a wonderful dermatologist who has left me with minimal scaring and helps guide my skincare journey.
I am in my early 40's and shamefully spent much of my teens and twenties in a tanning bed. This is something that I cannot believe I put my fair skinned self through. I cringe when I think about lying in a hot bed with that smell...burning flesh?
My skincare routine is nothing crazy. I use CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser, ISDIN serum (pictured above) and switch moisturizers seasonally. (Clinique Moisture Surge and Aveeno Ultra Calming daily moisturizer are my go-to's). In addition to these products I swear by my Micheal Todd Beauty Sonicsmooth Dermaplaner and the Solawave 4-in-1 red light wand.
At night I wash my face with the CeraVe cleanser, remove my eye make-up, & occasionally use Neotrogena Hydro Boost Night Pressed Serum. In the morning I wash with cold water and a very small amount of the same cleanser. I then apply the ISDIN serum and use the red light wand followed by my moisturizer (which is kept cold in my cosmetic fridge). If I have time I will roll with my jade roller for 30 seconds before applying my makeup. When it comes to dermaplaning I do not do this daily. I would say on average I dermaplane 2-3 times a week.
I have noticed my makeup goes on smoother and my skin is brighter since using the two tools above. I will also say that I am religious about wearing a hat and sunscreen. Any sunscreen that is 30+ SPF and has helioplex is great.
Take care of your skin. Your future self will thank you!
